This was as good as it got when we were around Mt. Ranier. We stayed around Mt. Ranier for approximately 3 days and never did get a clear shot of the mountain. The first 2 days we didn't even get a glipse of the mountain but saw some beautiful flowers and some other beautiful scenery. Finally, on the last day we drove to the other side of the park and I got these shots. It was down in the 40s when we took this walk. I still had on a short sleeve shirt and really didn't get cold until we crested the mountain from where these pictures were taken. When you hit the top there was about a 40 MPH wind and it was cold. As soon as you got away from the crest the wind was no longer a factor. Even though the weather was not cooperative we still had a good time.

Still Neal, these are pretty awesome pictures!
I think I'd have been too cold to walk. :)
Neal, You have to be keeping some of these shots for your desktop screen, Christmas cards or just framing them for house art...they are wonderful and always so crystal clear.
The weather may not have cooperated, but I like the pictures of the glacier you got. Your last photo does a great job of showing the mountain.
Thanks for showing these... I can only imagine the joy you felt when the mountain became clear... I have never seen a glacier myself, but live in an area that was form by one in the iceage....
Thanks for stopping by Wiggers World and leaving me a comment.... I will be posting more over the coming days from this weeks walk.
It's pretty, if not what you wanted. The clouds really make great pictures.
These are beautiful pictures, Neal.
