Sequoia and Kings Canyon ... Part 3

This is just to show some of the flowers and vegetation in the area. I don't know what kind of flowers these are but thought they were just beautiful.

Not a flower but nonetheless pretty.

See the pink patches of flowers?

Sequoia and Kings Canyon ... Part 2

This tells a little about a couple trees in the park.
This is just another big tree.  It was one that I could get a good shot of because it was out in the open.
 Kings Canyon.
 Waterfalls in Kings Canyon.
 Another waterfall in Kings Canyon.
A peaceful setting in the area.

Sequoia tree

Several years ago we went to Sequoia National Park. It's hard to imagine how big the sequoia tree is without seeing one. I have included a picture that shows my daughter standing in one so you can have a point of reference. Make sure to click on the picture with the sign so you can read about the biggest living thing on earth or you can read about it here. Also notice all the burn marks on the trees in the bottom picture. About all the trees there had burn marks. I read somewhere that the bark of the sequoia tree can be up to 2 feet thick.
