When we got to Nakusp, BC we found our motel and then went to sit on a bench that overlooked Upper Arrow Lake (the one we crossed on the ferry). We probably sat there for over an hour watching the scene change as the sun got lower in the sky. We also have an interesting conversation with one of the locals while we were sitting there. As you can see from the pictures below the scene did change quite drastically as the lighting changed. The next morning we got up, ate breakfast, and headed for Spokane. I think I only took 2 or 3 more pictures because there just wasn't much to take pictures of, especially since we had been spoiled by all the previous beautiful scenery.

Trip across the water
After Revelstoke we headed to Nakusp, BC where we were going to spend the night. To get there we had to take a ferry across Upper Arrow Lake. All the shots (except the last shot which was taken not long after we got across) below are from our ride across the lake.
And I'll leave you with beautiful song...

Meadows in the Sky Parkway
After our stop at Rogers Pass we continued west to Revelstoke, BC and went up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway. All the picture below are from that drive.
The picture above and the two below this were taken after we just started up the parkway. They show Revelstoke, BC from different angles. At the top there were some people feeding a couple birds and I managed to get several good shots of it. Don't ask what kind of bird it is...all I know is that it is one with feathers. :)
The shot above and the one below were taken as we came back down the parkway.

Rogers Pass
After leaving Wapta Falls we drove into Golden, BC where we spent the night. We got up the next morning and headed west. It was raining a little that morning...This was really the first time on our vacation that weather had played a part. In the end it didn't bother us because the farther west we went the better the weather got. When we got to Rogers Pass you can see from the pictures below that it had been raining but it had quit by the time we got there. Rogers pass is really a beautiful area when it's clear but even with the fog covering the mountains you can still see the beauty.

Wapta Falls
This is Wapta Falls near Golden, British Columbia. It was a pretty good hike back to the falls but was well worth the hike.
On our return hike we ran upon this bird walking in the middle of the road. It never would fly no matter how close we got. It finally ran into the brush to get away from us.

Emerald Lake
The first picture was just a stream that was running along the road and we decided to stop and look at the area because I thought the stream was pretty. The rest of the pictures are around Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. We walked completely around the lake and if I remember correctly it was about 3.5 miles. There is a beautiful lodge on the lake. The video at the end (not mine) tells a lot about the lodge. That would definitely be a nice place to stay.

Takakkaw Falls
This is Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park in Canada. Want to see more pictures of it go here. This is an absolutely gorgeous waterfall and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is anywhere near. I would love to hike to the top of it and see the area behind the falls. If you look closely at this link you may be able to find the fall. Even though some of the video clips at the bottom may look like they are from the same place all are taken from a different spot.

Malaigne Canyon
All of these pictures are from Malaigne Canyon in Jasper National Park in Canada. The hike down the canyon is a beautiful hike with lots of small waterfalls. If you'll notice in the second and third pictures the water is just pouring out of the side of the mountain. It's not obvious in the second picture but you can clearly see it in the third picture. I took several short video clips and have put them at the end of the pictures.

Five Lakes
These pictures were all taken along a trail called Five Lakes. There were 5 separate lakes (all small) and some had beautiful color. Obviously the last two pictures have been manipulated but I still think they are pretty.
