One final post on the AK trip

This is the final post on that AK trip. Here are some more beautiful flowers. We were just out killing time before we had to leave for the airport. What a beautiful way to end the trip.

Alaska flowers...mostly :)

All of the following flower pictures were taken at a botanical garden near Anchorage.  The last picture is a picture of a family tree quilt.  We saw the quilt at a B&B where we were staying.

Lake ???

All these were taken at a lake between Homer and Seward. I don't remember the name of the lake but we've stopped at the lake every time we've gone by it because we've always thought it was beautiful.

Homer area

 Just north of Homer

Just north of Homer.  You can see the Homer spit out in the water on the left side of the picture.

Fisherman returning from their fishing trip.

Alaska

 Stop along the Seward Highway.

 Russian church at Ninilchik, AK.

 Little village of Ninilchik, AK

 Church of Saint Nicholas.

This is how they take boats out of the water at Anchor Point, AK.  The tractor hooks to the trailer a backs way out into the ocean and  the boat pulls up on the trailer then the tractor pulls it to shore.

Along the coast

Look at the beautiful flowers along the road.  Aren't they gorgeous?

Look at all the birds.  Can't recall what they were..

 Isn't the church beautiful?

I thought the top was gorgeous.

This is Clam Gulch.  When the tide is down people come here and go out where the water had covered during high tide and dig clams.  We've never been there when many people were doing it.

More Alaska

Mr. Moose out getting something to eat.

I thought the clouds in the above shot and the one below this were pretty.

I've always loved reflection pictures and of course this one is no exception.  There's nothing special about it except that it's a reflection.

Seward

All of these pictures are from the Seward area.
Little church is Seward.

Along the beach.

Marina again. :)

If you look closely you can see the salmon.

This was a place the Dept of Natural Resources has constructed. I don't remember the details but it was for some research project and it was to limit the number of salmon that could go up the stream.
