National cemetery

This may not interest a most of you but I've always liked to visit cemeteries. The pictures below is from a nation cemetery in Keokuk, IA. There was also a public cemetery in the same area. I like the national cemeteries because they have the headstones in such a nice neat pattern and they also remind me of the people who have died so we can have the freedom we have.

I love going through cemetaries, and have several more posts to do on them! But I've never been to a national one! Wow, straight rows upon straight rows, really kind of like soldiers, wouldn't you say? It looks absolutely pristine!

I'm always amazed at the way they get it just right and in the correct pattern.
I like old cemeteries for their older style of headstones. They have so much more character.

Uh, should I tell you the first night I went out with my husband was on a blind date and we ended up walking in a cemetery! True. :)
