Several years ago we went to
Sequoia National Park. It's hard to imagine how big the sequoia tree is without seeing one. I have included a picture that shows my daughter standing in one so you can have a point of reference. here. Also notice all the burn marks on the trees in the bottom picture. About all the trees there had burn marks. I read somewhere that the bark of the sequoia tree can be up to 2 feet thick.
