Wildlife

As we concluded our first day and was going back to our motel we ran upon this fellow.  There were also some little ones in the area.  They were not wild at all.  As a matter of fact I was standing on a metal walk and this fellow came up to the walk and got on on it ahead of me.  He stood there for  a while before he decided to move.

A little farther on we ran upon the mommy grizzly and her cub swimming the lake.  She must have thought there was better eating on our side of the lake. :)

The next morning as we got up to head out on our second day we stopped where we had seen the  grizzlies the night before and lo and behold they were still in the area as you can see from the pictures below.

That Grizzly is huge. I would give him lots of room.

How far were you from the grizzlies??? What a thrill it would be to see them.

Have to tell you I love the header shot of the hay bales.

I'm envious of these shots!
I've gotten shots of bears in the Smokies but nothing like these.
