Ketchikan to Vancouver

I know there are a lot of pictures below but these are examples of the scenery from Ketchikan into Vancouver. You may ask what is so interesting about little villages on the shore. They were interesting to me because you would be steaming along in the open ocean and think there's nobody for miles around and then run up a village like the one in the pictures. Since I have the coordinates of where the pictures were taken it was interesting to get home and see where we actually were in some of the pictures. I wish blogged didn't strip out a lot of the picture information when it uploads them but unfortunately I think it does. Of course I've always like lighthouses so any time I see one of those I'm going to start shooting pictures. This stretch was the only one where you couldn't see land (assuming the weather cooperated). This is the last of the cruise pictures. Hopefully you've enjoyed at least some of them. The rest of my pictures are from British Columbia, Canada.

Great pictures, as usual, Neal. I love seeing all of the little villages also... Bet those people get COLD in the winter, don't you???? Yipes!!!!!

I love lighthouses also--and would probably 'collect' them (pictures of them) like we do waterfalls IF I had enough TIME in my life... ha ha

Love the mountains and the clouds/sky in these pictures... Fabulous!!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday.

It's a very beautiful part of the world, isn't it. I love the tiny settlements near the shore.

Actually, I've enjoyed ALL of your cruise pictures and am sorry that this is the last of them. But I do like the little villages and the lowering clouds in the last few pictures. You've done a wonderful job of sharing your cruise with us.

The sky shots are gorgeous! Image #8 is my favorite and the last one seems very fitting for the end of the cruise pics.
I've always loved lighthouses too and I've even dreamed about what it would be like to be the keeper in one that was remote and actually live in the lighthouse. :)
I've said before Alaska has always been a bucket list item. If I never get there I will have 'seen' it if only virtually through your eyes.
Thanks for taking us all along!
