Icy Strait Point to Ketchikan

As we were getting ready to get on a small boat go take us back to the ship there was an eagle sitting there like he owned the world. It was interesting to visit Hoonah but I wouldn't want to live there. It had one gasoline station and one grocery store. Of course you couldn't drive very far so you couldn't use a lot of gasoline. :)

The pictures below are of mountains as we were headed for Ketchikan. I didn't get any pictures of waterfalls on this stretch even though I believe I saw some through my binoculars but they were too far away to even attempt to take a picture.
An eagle perched near the dock when we were getting ready to return to the ship.
Scenery as we were leaving Icy Strait Point headed to Ketchikan.
More mountains on the way.
Another whale...It's hard to get a good shot...you never know where they're going to surface.

Gorgeous Neal... My favorite one is the 3rd from the bottom... The lighting effect is fabulous... And of course I always enjoy seeing the Eagles.

Have a great day.

Thanks for more beautiful pictures, Neal. I like the picture of the eagle, but the second picture is absolutely gorgeous. It's worthy of a frame.

Oh no you didn't!
You know the line from Jerry McGuire where he says you had me from hello? Well for this post you had from the eagle.
My envy level just went through the roof with this eagle shot - wow!
Not that I don't like the gorgeous show of mountains and scenery but you know I am keeping count of the wildlife - bear, whale, baby seal, eagle...... :)

That sky is unreal...I just love it. One of them makes me feel like I am zooming along under it...I love that Eagle, too!
