Just south of Anchorage there's a place where there's suppose to be good bird watching. These pictures were taken early one morning at that place. However, there weren't many birds around. We saw a few ducks ... that was about the extent of our bird watching. It is still beautiful just to go there and look around.

I wouldn't care about the birds. I'd just like to stand there and be awed by the scenery as majestic as it is. :)

I'm sorry you didn't see many birds, but the scenery is just fantastic.
If I went there, I know I would not want to leave...so maybe its a good thing that is not in my future.
