Smoky Mountain National park

These pictures were taken in the spring of 2003 in Smoky Mountain National Park. I got up and looked out the window as was really surprised to see snow on the ground since it was up in April. This is the kind of snow I like because it was beautiful to see but didn't stick on the roads.

Beautiful pictures, Neal. We have yet to see snow like that in the Smokies, but we'll keep trying. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Neal, When my children were young, we lived in Maryville, TN. One Saturday morning also in April, we got up to find a snow just like the one you have pictured. We drove up to the Smokies and it was gorgeous---clinging to everything BUT the roads. We took some great pictures back then, which are all still on slides. That's the type of snow I really like!!!! Thanks for the memories. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Neal, I'm glad to hear that you've been to Fall Creek Falls. Betsy crossed the swinging bridge when we were dating, but won't cross it now!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

What spectacular scenes! These remind me of walks in winter with my mom. We'd be the first ones to make tracks in the snow and we'd be out taking pictures together. I don't miss long winters, but I do miss those walks and photos with my mom. South Texas just doesn't offer opportunities such as that.
