We went on a couple drives today. We drove down to the school where all of us kids went to high school. It's fall break here so there were no kids there. I sure wish I could go inside and look around a little. It's a grade school now so I'm sure it's changed a lot. We then drove on down the valley from the high school and was going to a marina until we came around a corner and there was a sheriff's car sitting in the middle of the road so we back up and turned around without seeing the marina. It looked like some poor guy had a load of hay and got too close to the edge of the road and flipped the trailer over.
We also went to our sister's grade...that's always difficult for me because she was only 46 when she died. We also visited my mom and dad's grave. To get to their grave you have to drive through Lincoln Memorial University. I've always thought it was a beautiful campus. Both Rose and I attended it for some courses. After we went to my sister's grave (which is near a river) we drove on up the river for a piece. The GPS really comes in handy since I don't know the roads around here very well. We didn't get to explore a lot when we were kids so there are many, many roads that I've never been on. While we were at mom and dad's grave we saw about 10-12 turkeys in the distance.
Writing is NOT one of my strengths so I apologize for the rambling nature of this but I just wrote down things as I remembered them. It suppose to rain tomorrow so I don't know what we'll do but I'm sure we'll come up with something. :)

Okay--did you take any pictures of the old high school? I sure hope you did!
I am anxious to see what photos you got!
Hi Neal
So glad you are able to post and let us know how it's going.
A fall break in school - already. :)
It poured rain here this evening. It's the first in awhile and the temps are dropping.
Stay safe and dry and I'm still looking forward to the pics when you get back.
