I've taken plenty of pictures but all are still on my camera. I've taken a lot of pictures strictly for my nephew who is housebound and can't get out at all. He used to spend the summer down in TN with us and wanted me to take some pictures that may not necessarily be pretty but will enable him to relive his past down here. The sky was really beautiful last night so I hope I got some good shots.
We went out for a drive today and went to an area where they mine coal. I get a little nervous because I don't know how good the road is going to be. We got to one place where 5 roads came together and we sat there and debated which way to go. I finally told my wife to tell the GPS the name of a little town close to where we wanted to come back to pavement. Even it was confused :) We started down a couple of the roads and watched the GPS to see if we were headed the right way and finally, on the 3rd try, we got started down the right road.
My wife and I also took a couple of walks. There are so many places to go for a walk and still not be on pavement. I love to go when I have good scenery and can hear the birds (my hearing is not completely gone yet :) ) and hear the insects making their special noises. We went to the cemetery where Rose's and my brother is buried (stillborn). His grave is not marked but I still go back every so often. While we were there all the horses of the landowner came up and wanted us to pet them. Of course we petted them and they tried to follow us as we were leaving. We also walked down the railroad that Rose and I walked when we went to school (no trains went by so I couldn't throw rocks at it :) ). I'd like to know how many times I've walked that railroad. I walked it all 12 years of school plus a lot of other times.
There was frost on the car this morning so I had to scrape the windows before we could leave. Boy am I spoiled...I sure miss our garage. I think it's suppose to get pretty cool again tonight. The leaves are not in their prime yet so I would guess the frost will speed up the process.
More later.....I hope. :)

Hi Neal,
Glad you're having a great time. I can hardly wait to see your photos.
Had to smile about your throwing rocks comment - shame on you. :)
Not sure about Blogger over at Round The Bend. I'm pretty sure it's their end.
Mr. Spoiled - we got Frost here too. :)
Take care and stay safe.
I don't know what if is about these last two posts but I'm sitting here with tears running down my face. Maybe it's the thoughts of how sad it is sometimes going back to places from the childhood days. Anyway, hope you two had a great time. Its fun to just get out and travel.
