The only place I've ever seen this is in the western US (these pictures were taken in Glacier National Park) and if I recall correcly I saw some in the Rockies in Canada. I thought I had a picture where if a field was just covered with it but if I do I can't find it. It is very beautiful. This is not a good photo but you can see what I mean when I say there's more that just a flower here and there.
