Waynesville, NC

We made a quick trip to Waynesville, NC this past weekend for a wedding. We got there around 3:00 PM on Thursday and it was beautiful.  The motel we were staying at was near Lake Junaluska so we decided to go see it and I am sure glad we did.  All the pictures below are on the banks of the lake. As you can see the flowers were absolutely gorgeous.  I know I'm showing a lot more pictures than I normally do but I couldn't decide which ones to show so I picked a bunch.
 A beautiful dogwood.

 A pink dogwood.....isn't it beautiful.

 A cherry tree I believe.

 Dogwood blossom.

 An apple tree I think.

 Apple blossoms.

 Another apple tree?

 Have no idea.

I can see why you had trouble choosing. I would not be able to leave any one out! The next to last deep pink looks a bit like an azalea. I love the apple tree by the gate, and your close-ups are divine!!!

You obviously got to North Carolina at exactly the right time. All of these photos and scenes are beautiful.

Oh how I love Junaluska... I've been there MANY times ---even at times when I was a Youth Director in the church --and we went there on retreats. NEAT place --and great memories for me. I'd love to live there!!!!

You did get there at a perfect time. The next to the last one is an Azalea. We have two of those in our yard...

Hugs,
Betsy

Gorgeous pictures. Seeing all those flower covered trees makes me yearn for waker weather,so we can see that over here.
