Moraine Lake

All of these pictures except the first one is at Moriane Lake.  The first one may look like nothing when you first look at it but if you'll notice there two tunnel entrances.  This explains it a lot better than I can but basically they used the tunnel to gain altitude more gradually.

The area around Moraine Lake is absolutely beautiful.  The lake changes color as the sun hits it at different angles.  We didn't have time to stay there until the sun was covering the whole lake but you can see how the color is different in the sunny and shady areas.

It is such a beautiful and picturesque area. I was lucky enough to capture a train on that piece of track snaking it's way around in a figure eight pattern to get down the mountain

Gorgeous, Neal....Love all of the photos... The last one is probably my favorite --but I love the 3rd one from the bottom with the reflections also.

Interesting about the railroad tunnels/construction.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Your photos of the lake are marvelous. I really like the reflections of those beautiful mountains in the water. The story of the spiral tunnels is interesting.
