Yorktown National Cemetery

This is Yorktown National Cemetery.  They always keep the National Cemeteries so pretty and for that I am thankful.  There were so many graves in this cemetery that were marked with either 1,2,3 or 4 unknown soldiers.  That is so sad. Just think how it would be if your kid left home and you never knew what happened to him/her or where they were buried.  I stood and looked at those graves and had tears come into my eyes.

A touching, sad sight.

I feel the same way when I visit national cemeteries. I, too, appreciate the care that is given to these graves, even if the name is unknown.
