As the sun fades away

Here is a sequence of pictures showing the sun setting on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I love to watch sunsets/sunrises.  You don't notice how fast the earth  rotates until you see a sunset or sunrise and then it becomes very obvious.

Simply stunning!! And you are so right about watching the sunset and seeing how fast it goes once it is down to a certain point!I notice that all the time!

Gorgeous shots!
When we lived in Virginia we visited the Outer Banks often. I loved to go there. It was wonderfully secluded in the 70's. We actually rented a beach house in 93 for a vacation and had to evacuate for Hurricane Emily.
