Old fire truck

When we moved our daughter we went for a drive and happen to run upon this old fire truck. If you look closely you can see the fire hoses through the back window. Also, you can see all the gauges a hose connection points on the front. I wish I knew how old the truck was but I'm not any good at guessing the age of old cars and trucks. I enlarged the picture and looked at the hood ornament but I can't recall what make that ornament went on.

This truck would have a few stories to tell,if it could talk.

I'm surprised it hasn't rusted completely away sitting out in the open. He has character.
Hubby says it's an International.

I've never seen one this old! All those gauges on the front are so funny! Is it just sitting in that field rusting? Shouldn't it be in a museum or something? Phil looked at the hood ornament and said it is either a Dodge or a Desoto.

I googled vintage firetruck manus & couldn't find that emblem... wish I could help more, but that's an awesome find! They need to get it out of the elements... surely someone will drive by & be interested in restoring it! =)
