All these pictures were taken at the Mountain Farm Museum on the east side of the smokies. It is located just before you exit the park. I've always been a sucker for old buildings. I just wish they could talk. :)
I like the rustic look of these places. The old buildings have such nice textures and fine wood quality. I like that one with the natural rock foundation. A fine post.
Omg I don't mind living here. I've been a city girl since birth..and I am done with it lol!! I love these photos and the two last photos is this a house? Like it much!

Hi Neal, I just sent you a link to a blog I published in 2009 on my visit to this place...
Great pictures.

I sooo wish they could talk, too... they sure grab my attention & I could sit for days & days to listen to the stories they'd have to tell!!! =)
Beautiful structures & I love all the rock work!
Do you mind if I link this post to Barn Charm next Monday for the barn in the 1st pic? Everyone should see it!!! =)
I've been pass that museum a couple of times but have never stopped. Your pictures tell me that I'm going to have to change that.
Thank you very very much, Neal... I appreciated it tons! =)
I visited this place the first time I went to the smokies.
I wish I could pick those buildings up and place one or two in my back woods. :)
Wonderful. I like this kind of museums! Shingles on roof are so "cozy" looking, because we have them here and there.
Great post!
Hi Neal,
Thanks so much for letting me link this post back to Barn Charm... I just know everyone would want to see!!! =)
How interesting the shapes are! Great image of the stone foundation, too. And those wonderful old shake roofs!
I agree, I wish old buildings could talk!
Oh, wow, I love that barn...and wish I had that log cabin.
You should have kept the one of the pig sleeping in the sun and used it in a post titled 'Sun Bathing Beauty."

Reminds my of New Salem Museum. It must be a similar time period.
