Here's our first glimpse of Denali ("The High One") or Mt. McKinley as most of us know it. We were so blessed that day. You normally only have a 15-20% chance of seeing the mountain but that day it was bright and clear all day. The pictures below speak for themselves so there's not much I can add. The next day when we got up to leave it was pouring down rain and we drove in rain for a long ways.

In some pictures, it almost looks like a giant iceberg! This is a dumb question, but does it always have snow on it?
Yeah, Ginny it would always have snow on it. Even some of the mountains in CO have snow on them all year.
Wow---that is the reason I wanted to go to DeNali... I really wanted to see Mt. McKinley. You have some fabulous pictures... Love that last one with the flag.
