We ran up on this mama bear and cub while on vacation. We were probably within 10 feet of her while she was at the side of the road eating. She was eating away and seem to be ignoring us but all at once she decided she didn't want us there. She hissed and started charging toward the car. I had my foot on the accelerator at all times so the first move she made I floored the car and got out of there.
