Today's Flowers

These a flowers in Hawaii....I don't know what they are but they were growing in patches. If you'll notice they're growing in volcanic rock. It amazes me how plants can survive in such an area. Click on rotating banner at top to see more beautiful flowers or join in.

Which just goes to show that we can find beauty even in the most barren of places. Great photographs and thank you so much for sharing them.

Lovely Neal!
It is quite nice that the soft texture of this ground cover covers the hard lava rock.

Hope you had a very Blessed Easter!

Neal those carpets of flowers are lovely. It is amazing what grows on newly created earth crust. I found that out in Iceland where the crust was so thin it echoed when you walked and you had to take care not to step into a fumerol and disappear into the centre of the earth.
