I've always loved these because they remind me that spring is here or near.

I love forsythias! This really is my favorite! I had rental property a few years ago & rented to a guy in his early 20's (BIG MISTAKE) & after not checking on the property for a couple months, I drove by & found that he had CUT DOWN 4 of these lining the driveway! I was sooo mad - I still can't figure out why anyone would do such a thing! Note: I later had to go to court to get him kicked out for making meth in the house & the cops had busted in & arrested him! HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE!!!
I love these shrubs. I think they are so pretty. I remember seeing them a lot when I was younger in my native Tn. home town. I miss them as they do signify the start of Spring. Thanks for the beautiful pix.
I love Forsythia, Neal.. I grew up with it in my yard. AND--we have a bush in our yard here in the Glade. The birds love to hide in that bush also.. Betsy
My Dad bless his heart always had some in our yard. Bushes he planted almost fifty years ago are still there. I swore when I moved back to WV I would have a bush. I was lucky and inherited two. They are as they should be - like your photo - big and sprawling. I hate when they are trimmed way back. Your first photo of it against the sky is perfect. Thanks for smiles Neal!
FORSYTHIA!! Yes it is truly a sign of Spring! Lucky you!! Here we have lots of snow forcasted again..argh...will my Spring ever come!! Your photos are awesome..as is your blog! :)NG
On the property of my parents home are two forsythia bushes. Have always loved to see the yellow blooms, and my mom brought some cuttings indoors for Easter each year. I have to remember to plant one at the back of our townhouse property. Looking forward to spring arriving here in a few weeks, I hope. We have a snow storm in the works for Sunday and Monday. Hapyy Scenic Sunday. Grace

I agree with you -- it's always wonderful to see forsythia blooming. Unfortunately we're still several weeks away from seeing any.
Neal, I love both of these...they are wonderful! Where were they taken?
