Mammoth Cave

If you ever go to Mammoth Cave National Park the pictures above show how you get across the Green River. There are two ferries in the park. When we went to the park one of the ferries was so slow that the guy running it was mowing when we got there. He parked his mower and came down and took us across the river and then went back to mowing.

Neal, I remember that ferry from when I visited Mammoth Cave many years ago. Thanks for the memories.

Neal, I've been to Mammoth Cave twice. George took me when we were dating in 2001. We saw the ferry but didn't cross it. We did notice how SLOW it is.

Then we went back a couple of years later when two of my sons and their sons were camping there.

Neat place.

How much snow do you have? Hope you didn't get all of that horrible ice?

We've got around 10 inches of snow and it's still snowing. Fortunately, we didn't get the ice. I just spent 45 minutes cleaning our driveway. I could get out to the main road if I wanted to since we hire someone to plow our streets and they have been plowed at least once.

I was there way back in 1956. I imagine it has changed quite a bit since then. lol I was born & raised not too far away. The cave is a nice place to visit.

It looks like quite an adventure. Just have a good book handy.
