Mr. Hawk

As you can see from the pictures we have a guest to watch our bird feeder. :) We looked out the other day and there he was watching for birds to come...duh.:) He sat there for a while and then flew down to the base of a nearby bush and in a few seconds here comes a little sparrow out of the bush and Mr. Hawk had the sparrow before it had flown 20 feet. Sorry that the photos are real not good but we have windows that have the blinds between the window panes so in a couple of the shots I had the camera lens right up against the window trying to shoot between the blinds.

Neal, I'm impressed that you were able to get any photos at all of the hawk. We have hawks in the area, but so far we haven't seen any around Betsy's feeders.

Neal, you should link this with camera critters! I bet he was fun to watch...as you know I love hawks.

Yow, Neal!!!!! Hawks are pretty and fun to watch--but I don't want them lurking at our feeders. Today--we have had goldfinch, house finch, cardinals, tufted, chickadees, Carolina wren, nuthatches--and of course Pet and Petunia, our Red-bellied residents!!!!

Hope you are having a great day.

Neal,
Sooo know what you mean about those lingering hawks!! Sure make backyard bird watching a little difficult some days! I love how they plop on the shepherds crook and think their lunch will arrive as they sit there!! I guess for yours it did!

Oh, he's a big bad bird. I've never seen one actually sitting on a bird feeder. We have one that swoops by and scares away all the little guys now and then.
