I've always like to take pictures of old farm equipment. Maybe part of the reason is that I've used some of it so it takes me back to when I was younger. Interestingly, I love to look at how some of it was made and how ingenious people were back then in coming up with some of the stuff.
This reminds me of the homestead on which my dad spent a lot of his growing-up years. There was not as MUCH farm equipment (maybe at one time), but it looks the same. He still owns most of that piece of land.
My Dad always loved looking at old equipment when we went to fairs. When I see something I always think how much he would have liked it. Your slideshow is gorgeous. I could hardly take my eyes away. Were some from the Cades Cove area and beyond that way. That big white house looks familiar. And the one with the green doors. Could be wishful thinking. I so wanta go back!!

The other day at one of the yard sales I saw an old jab planter sort of like the one we used to have...I almost bought it.
I would dearly love to be in Tennessee one more time when it snows.
Nice shots! My very first entry is up as well. Take care!
Cheers,
