Cemetery

You may think it's weird but when out traveling about my wife and I like to visit old cemeteries. As a matter of fact I have a GPS with several thousands downloaded into it. We mainly like to visit old cemeteries. When we were at Mammoth Cave 2-3 weeks ago we visited most of the cemeteries around there. There was one family that had lost 7 children if I recall correctly. All but one had died within a year or two after birth and the one that didn't got killed in a war. The pictures above are from a cemetery that was just beautifully kept. Everything is this cemetery was just perfect and there were a lot of old (1860s) graves in this cemetery.

On a side note: Do you know why most cemeteries have fences around them?...... Because people are just dying to get in. :)

I like to visit too Neal!
This one does look very well kept. It's sad to see those that aren't.

OH, ha, ha! :)

Do you know what kind of people are buried there?? (dead people)
Did you ever put your foot on a grave and say "dead man dead man whatcha doing down there"? He will answer you and say "nothing".

We always stop at old cemeteries, too. I'm really into genealogy and also ghost hunting, so both fit!

I love old cemetaries, too. And the ones where a family with lots of children died is always so heartbreaking. I love old stones better than new ones as well.
