Tennessee
As most of you know Rose and I spent our childhood in Tennessee right across the border from KY(see pictures). As a matter of fact if you walked a mile or two from our house you could stand in TN, KY, and VA all at once. The reason that I mention this is that I've done quiet a bit of genealogy work on our family tree in the last few years and have come to realize that there are a lot of questions that I wished I had asked my mom (died in 1996). Rose and I compare notes a lot of times but there are so many things that neither of us can remember. I've copied and scanned any picture that I can find that relates to our family. I have some family pictures that I know are family but neither Rose nor I can figure out who they are.

These sure look good to me...that last one would have made a wonderful skywatch photo...
I like the one of the railroad track best but they are all beautiful. When I was growing up I always wanted to live in Tennessee I just couldn't figure out how I was going to make it happen. Of course, I never did.
Fabulous pictures. It's sad when history is lost with the death of a loved one. My mom would never talk about things, so it was lost (maybe for the better) even before she died, but there's something about death that makes it seem REALLY lost.
Where in TN? I have a friend in Jellico. I think it's near the KY border. I know TN is a wide state, but her terrain is like this. (I haven't been to Jellico, but have seen pictures.)
Very beautiful scenes! They make me pine for the cooler days of autumn!
Very beautiful photos!
