The top picture shows the tools that totem pole carvers use. We talked to the lady that was carving this totem pole. She was saying that the going rate for carving and finishing one was $2000 per linear foot. The other pictures are just a few, very few of the other carvings there. Some of them are just beautiful.

Is Alaska the only place that has totem poles? I don't ever remember reading or hearing about them any place else.
