I have always like to visit old or unusual churches. These pictures are of a Russian Orthodox Church in
Ninilchik, AK built in 1900 along with pictures of Ninilchik. Ninilchik is a small fishing community right on the ocean. The last time we were in AK a guy was telling us about a woman who was trying to get a moose of of her flowers using a broom. If that had been me the moose could have had the flowers. :)

I too love the old clapboard churches. They just say more to me than the newer ones.
I absolutely adore that first photo with the spires against the sky.
The curch and the grave are stunning Neal..., love the views.. the thing about the women with a broom had me in mind of 'Nora Batty' from "Last Of The Summer Wine" fame.. BTW I must get up to the area where thats filmed. it is just a short drive away... I hope you have heard of the program.

Old churches always have so much history in them. I like them, too.
