Little cabin near Gatlinburg, TN

Old barn in Tennessee

Up railroad track near my brother's house

House where Rose used to live

These are pictures from where Rose and I lived as kids. They were taken in color but I changed them to B&W and manipulated them a little. The barn in the 2nd from bottom picture is the one that I showed previous that had fallen. The railroad is the one Rose and I walked when we went to school. The old barn in the second picture was just out the road from the house where Rose used to live. The house where Rose lived is the house that our grandpa and grandma lived in back in the late 20s and early 30s. Our mom and dad lived in the house that is behind grandpa's house back in the early 30s.

Nice job. I especially love the barn and railroad track pictures. What history.

First off - this music is PERFECT for this post!
I love that you posted them in B&W - so appropriate for 'taking us back.'

I've seen the little white house before but I still think it's so cute and the barn too. You know there is a blog just for B@W photos. (just thought I'd throw that in)

No much for me to say...you know how I love this place and if it were mine I would not trade it for any mansion on earth.
