Before and after

I was kind of sad to the the barn at our old home place collapse last year. My older brother and I built most of that barn when we were kids. I was around 13 and he was 16. Some of the the lumber used in the barn was from our old house so there's a lot history there. All the younger kids, including Rose, played in that barn many hours. In one of the pictures you can see the railroad that we walked when we were going to school.

Memories - I like going back to the good ole days with you and Rose. I remember a barn on the land my Dad grew up on that nobody took care of and when it was collasping he seemed sad when I would see him look at it but he never mentioned it.

That IS sad! My husband had thoughts of restoring his old barn but I think he has finally realized he's not able.

That would make ME sad. Can you salvage more of the wood for some project? My uncle paneled a giant room in his basement with an old structure that was dear to him. Can't remember if if it was a barn or the old house.

I bet I spent more hours in this barn than anyone--for I was young when it was first built and it was one of my favorite places to play. Even as I got older, I liked to take a book and go up there to read.

Well the good thing is, it can live on in your photos. They will help you remember the good times you had there! Thanks for stopping by my place. Sorry but I just now got today's posts up. Hope you are having a great week!

Ah, poor old barn, he finally succumbed to the pull of gravity.
